Safina Said Kimbokota, born in 1982 in Lindi Region, Tanzania, is a contemporary sculptor and painter currently working in Dar-es- Salaam, Tanzania. She moved to Dar-es- salaam at the age of eight and has lived in Dar-es- salaam since then. 
In 2001, she began her studies at the Namasagali College in Jinja, Uganda. She then attended the Bagamoyo College of Arts in Bagamoyo followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011 at the University of Dar-es- Salaam in Tanzania. She is a member of several organizations TNC for (AIAP), WAC (Women Are Creators), (FPASA) Fine and Performing Students Association), as well as having been involved in a variety of workshops, projects and group exhibitions inside and outside Africa.
