Claudia Durastanti is an Italian writer, naturalized as a USA citizen. Her first novel Un giorno verrò a lanciare sassi alla tua finestra (Marsilio, 2010; La Nave di Teseo, 2020) won the Premio Mondello Giovani. She then published A Chloe, per le ragioni sbagliate (Marsilio, 2013) and Cleopatra va in prigione (minimum fax, 2016). Her latest novel, The Stranger (La straniera, La Nave di Teseo, 2020) is currently being translated in 15 countries. As well as an author, Durastanti is also a translator (of Donna Haraway, Ocean Vuong and others), founder of the Festival of Italian Literature in London, and a contributor to several newspapers and magazines. She lives in London.
