Michele Benevento

He graduated in History and Criticism of Cinema. In 2003 he collaborated with Giuseppe Palumbo, creating for the Astorina publishing house the funds for the special albums of Eva Kant Y Ginko, secondary characters of Diabolik. Partially drew album number 1 of L'insonne, from the publisher Free Books; of this series he also made the inked from the covers to number 5, on the pencils of Giuseppe Palumbo. On 2006 drawing Nick raider by If Edizioni and two albums by Twins from the publisher french Bamboo Edition. For If Edizioni he also made a series of illustrations published in the albums of Il Commander Mark.
In 2009 he began his collaboration with the publishing house Sergio Bonelli Editore, for which you have drawn Caravan, Dampyr, Lukas (of which he is co-author with Michele medda) Y Tex. In order to Marvel comics, inked pencils Giuseppe Camuncoli for a story of Captain Marvel Y Wolverine, with a script by Peter david.
Has been teacher of the "Scuola Internazionale di Comics" of Florence and of Reggio emilia, in addition to teaching inking techniques for the PGM of Bologna.

What are the concrete needs of those who create comics in Italy? A group of professionals, together with the association MeFu – Mestieri del Fumetto, discusses, starting from its own experience, about very practical matters but not less heartfelt by authors: contracts, editorial markets, taxation, legal protection, public recognition and representation. The meeting is also an opportunity to present the first membership campaign of MeFu and talking about association’s plans and goals for the future.
