Léopold Prudon
Léopold Purdon is a French illustrator and cartoonist. He studied at the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts and at the Estienne school. His work explores the relationship between the individual and the environment, both geographic and domestic, and the coexistence of everyday problems with the weird forms of the unconscious. In his comics, he told the journey of migrants from the Maghreb (De l'Autre côté), the fate of a ten-year-old boy with disproportionate ambitions (Barry Lyndon) and the mourning of a character wandering the streets of Shanghai after the loss of his father in his graphic novel Shanghai chagrin published by L'Association. He works on illustration projects for literature and print (The New York Times, Alsace).
